Thank you, Thank you, and Thanks Once More!

My daughter asked to write the for the blog this week. I hope you enjoy:

Let us come to him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to him. ~ Psalm 95:2.

God blesses me, you, and everyone. He never fails at giving out blessings, but at times we fail to realize them. A blessing is God’s favor and protection. Anything from God that He approves of and keeps us safe from is a blessing.

For example, what if after praying about a Disney vacation, God says, “No.” Automatically, we tend to think negatively and selfishly. We should step back and look at blessing in the decision. We never know why God may be saying “no” or “wait.” He may have just saved you from a maybe a car accident or something bad happening at Disney. He may want you to seek Him that whole weekend as a family. You never really know. You have to trust Him.

Blessings come in all forms. When everything is flowing perfectly, thank Him. When everything seems to be going wrong, thank Him. Thank God for the wisdom that will come out of this trial. If you lost a love one, thank the Lord for the treasured time you were blessed to have with that person.

Thank God for the little things, such as a hug from your child or the snacks during the day. Thank the Lord for big blessings like the car you drive and the ability to be in God’s will everyday. Blessings are all around us! Be sure to open your eyes to these marvelous moments. Lift up your hands up, scream and shout that you are blessed. All praises to God!

Prayer: Dear Lord, You are a beautiful blessing. Thank you for the many blessings that you shower on us every day, even when we don’t deserve them. Thank you for food, shelter, and the love You pour out onto my family and I. God, Your love is so amazing. Thank You for sending your Son, Jesus, to save us. Thank you and we love you more than our words can ever express. In Jesus Name, Amen!
