"My Arrows" by Stacey Wooddell Imbimbo

My Arrows

Psalms 127: 3-5
Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of
one's youth.  Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them.

I love to listen to different podcasts throughout my day.

It seems so easy to put it on while cooking dinner, laundry or even while I am brushing my teeth.  It’s easily paused and restarted for all those little interruptions.

These moments are often so enjoyable and help keep my cup full.

This week was extra good, and I just wanted to share it with you.

I have been listening to a pastor in Montana preach a series called Arrows. Based on the scripture from Psalms 127:3-5. This particular series is all about parenting.

The wisest man in the world, King Solomon writes that children are like arrows in the hand of a warrior. Every arrow is different and unique but there is only one target.

See the eternal impact.

We represent God to our kids.  God is a father, and he has the heart of a mother.

Our children are going to get to the accurate picture of God because of us or with great difficulty get there in spite of us.

Be encouraged, as you are launching your arrows toward the target that your children can’t follow what you don’t show them and they can’t know what you don’t tell them.

Your children can not get what YOU have been called to teach them anywhere else!

Aim toward the target!
