Luke 19:
30 – 31
“Go to the
village ahead of you and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there,
which no one has ever ridden. Untie it
and bring it here.
If anyone
asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ tell him,
‘The Lord
needs it.’”
Matthew
21: 7 – 9
They
brought the donkey…placed their cloaks on it, and Jesus sat on them. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on
the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the
road. The crowds that went ahead of Him
and those that followed shouted,
‘Hosanna
to the Son of David!’
‘Blessed
is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’
‘Hosanna in
the highest!’
Clap! Clap! Places everybody. In 5, 4, 3, 2, ACTION!
OK Moms, you have the
script. Give your little ones a jacket
or a sweater. You or Dad can be the
donkey. Show them how to lay their
jackets on the ground. Give one of your
children the part of Jesus and let them climb up on the “donkey” (mom or
dad.)
Now begin their lines…
‘Hosanna
to the Son of David!’
‘Blessed
is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’
‘Hosanna
in the highest!’
Let’s teach our children
the story of Easter, starting with Good Friday.
This will not just be
“play time” this will be the beginning of them understanding the meaning of
Easter.
Love this! Thanks joannie!
