The Prince of Peace

Last Friday, I told you my daughter would be married to her Prince Charming.  I thought you may enjoy a few pictures that capture our experience last weekend.

Here comes the bride...

Prince Charming and His Bride

What a blessing it was to watch God care for the details for the entire week leading up to the wedding.  The wedding day was clear, beautiful and in the low 70's.  Even the azaleas were in bloom.  The day was filled with joy, excitement, bliss and undeniably, His peace.

Specifically, the Prince of Peace was evident.  Last week the point of the blog was to remind us that one day our Prince Charming would come and we needed to be ready.  At Cole and Michelle's wedding I was reminded our Prince Charming is also the Prince of Peace.  In the midst of all that was going on, His peace was very evident and apparent.

As people would give kind words about how the ceremony and reception went, we couldn't help but give credit where credit is due.  God did the amazing work for orchestrating all the details to fall into place.  He took care of the details we forgot to mention in prayer.  He calmed our hearts and made His presence more evident and more important than what could have distracted us from His entrance.

We give Him alone glory for this beautiful day and this couple who are madly in love with Him and with each other.

My challenge to you today is to celebrate the Prince of Peace in your life, to thank Him for being the solace of every day and His presence in every breath.  I also encourage you to continue to pray that your children will be the spouses God would want them to one day be, and ask the Lord to prepare the hearts of your children's spouses to welcome the Prince of Peace into their lives.

Isaiah 9: 6  "...And His name will be called, Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
