You Are Loved!

A friend confided in me that she and her husband are ready to start having children.  My favorite conversation to have with a new mommy to be is the indescribable and inexplicable love a mother has for her child. After the baby is born, I always anticipate the look in their eyes when I ask them about that love.

I thought I understood what love was until I had my daughter. I knew "philia" and "eros" love, but I never knew "agape" love  until I met my daughter. As I began caring for my child, God revealed to me how he cares for me. I was overwhelmed at the thought, that God could love  me like I love this baby. Moreover, His love is a perfect love! He IS love! 

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. - 1 John 4:8

Mom, please know that you are loved! Sometimes we feel unappreciated and misunderstood and that can make us feel like we are unloved. Especially you, single mom. Our Heavenly Father appreciates ALL you do, He understands ALL you are and most of all He LOVES you! You are loved!

 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:37-39

Challenge: Encourage a mom today! Remind her that God loves her! Tell her that He sees all she does He appreciates her. Let her know that she is not alone. If the opportunity presents itself pray with her. If not, ask her what can you pray about for her.
